Senior Full Stack Developer

The Role

As a member of our Development team, you will be:

• Developing and testing quality features from start to finish using best practices and our standards
• Writing clean, testable code and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions
• Proactively ensuring scalability and performance of the deliverables
• Complying with secure-code development
• Conducting regular, thorough pull-request reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborating on system architecture to design scalable, innovative solutions
• Refactoring code when necessary
• Sharing knowledge within the team
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments

Essential Qualifications / Skills

• BSc in Computer Science or a similar discipline
• 7 + years of hands-on coding experience in web applications
• Strong understanding of RDBMS
• Expert knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Strong understanding of stateless Single-Page Applications and APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.)
• Experience with Apache Kafka stream management
• Experience with real-time data and asynchronous processing
• Experience with containerization
• Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework
• Experience with test frameworks
• Ability to foster a collaborative, productive team environment

Preferred Skills / Experience (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with geospatial data management (GeoJSON, OGC standards)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) or time-series databases (InfluxDB)
• Understanding of the basic OWASP web-security ruleset
• Experience with Git
• Familiarity with task-management tools (Jira, Teamwork, etc.)
